Coaching a Development Team
TCYBA is always looking for volunteers to help coach teams. Whether you’ve played basketball before and want to coach a team, or you’re keen to learn the game and want to help out as an assistant coach, we’d love to hear from you.
Our development teams are segmented as: Juniors (Grades 2–5), Senior (Grades 6–8) and Recreational (Grades 9–12).
This coming fall we are going to be implementing a new system for developing coaches, which in turn will help develop our players on a more even level. We understand that everyone has busy schedules and can’t always attend coaching clinics, so we’ll be bringing the clinics to you. Starting in the Grade 2/3 and 3/4 levels we’ll be pairing teams together at the beginning of the season and providing experienced coaches to help run the sessions. More detailed information about this academy format is coming soon.
If you are interested in coaching a please email the Coaching Director
