About the TCYBA

The Tri City Youth Basketball Association — TCYBA — was formed in 1999 and serves Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody, in British Columbia. Currently, there are over 1,000 players, in grades 2 to 9, playing the various divisions in the club. Open to both boys and girls, the TCYBA operates out of school gyms across the Tri City area.

The TCYBA Basketball season starts in the fall with the Fall League, running September to March, followed by the Spring League, running April to June. As part of the registration fee, all players receive a Steve Nash Youth Basketball jersey and basketball, that they keep, team picture (trophies at the Grade 2/3 Level), and insurance and membership in Basketball BC.

The TCYBA is part of the Steve Nash Youth Basketball program that is administered by Basketball BC. The TCYBA is dedicated to providing a safe, fun environment where players can enjoy and learn the great game of basketball. We also believe that trained coaches are the key to player development. Many opportunities for coaching development are offered throughout the year. Along with Basketball BC, we are also working with the young officials of the area to provide them with an opportunity learn the game at an early level and provide them with a part time job.

The Tri City Youth Basketball Association would like to acknowledge the financial support of the Province of British Columbia.
